Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC) is a non-profit organization devoted to helping BC women start, lead and grow their own business.

 WEC has fueled the success of women-led businesses since 1995, providing business skills training,  business loans, personalized business advice, mentoring, practical business resources and a supportive community to help women business owners gain the skills, mindset, financing and networks they need to realize their business potential.

Their team understands and relates to the unique circumstances of women business owners. Our experienced business advisors, mentors, trainers and facilitators provide clients with tools and confidence through a supportive, individual and practical approach. Personalized business advice, mentoring, practical business resources and a supportive community to help women business owners gain the skills, mindset, financing and networks they need to realize their business potential.

Presenter Profile

Pauline Stevenson is an award winning entrepreneur, building her accredited college over the past 31 years.

Her commitment to supporting fellow women entrepreneurs has always formed part of the essence of Ms. Stevenson’s activities. As a young career professional, in 1989, was already committed to service and was a founding member of the Women’s Business Network and served as its President shortly thereafter.

Since 2014, Ms. Stevenson has volunteered her time and expertise to the Women’s Enterprise Centre as a mentor for Women in Business and has contributed to many women’s entrepreneurial success. Last year Ms. Stevenson was appointed to the position of Regional Ambassador for the Women’s Enterprise Centre and is connecting women, in more remote locations, access the support to start, grow and thrive in business.

In April of this year, Ms. Stevenson was named Business Woman of the Year, in the Leadership category by BC Business Magazine’s inaugural Provincial awards. In January, Ms. Stevenson was the proud recipient of the Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Merit award. In 2014, the College won Business of the Year Vancouver Island in the Professional category.
